Cantieri Culturali is located inside the former public slaughterhouse an it is a space created for young people, where the Municipality of Prato has been carrying out a project of promotion of young people's artistic production for many years.
Cantieri Culturali is an institutional facility which wants to answer the needs of the young people's artistic world and offer to the young artists and cultural workers an opportunity to learn, to work, to introduce themselves.
Cantieri Culturali offers:
creativity and free expression of opinions (the most significant productions are promoted outside);
courses and workshops;
possibility to meet famous artists;
study of techniques of performing arts works;
participation in events (theatre and dance performances, concerts, video installations, performances, …)
propose ideas and projects related to theatre, visual arts, music or multimedia;
exchange of culture and art with other Italian and European cultural centres such as universities, theatres and museums.
Opening time Office hours :
Monday through Thursday from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. ( for the public)
Exhibition Opening :
Monday to Friday 3.00 p.m. - 12.00 p.m.
