Presentation of the library

Established in 1982 as a basic public library, it features a new modern and spacious location and with access for disabled visitors [360 sq m], made according to the most modern concepts of furniture, lighting and space, with a large garden for reading and open-air activities.

The library has two large reading rooms and a conference room designed to host meetings, exhibitions, conferences and continuing education courses.

The library contains numerous publications on contemporary essays and stories, updated to the latest publications, a large Archaeological section focused mainly on Etruscology, an interesting section dedicated to psychology, a Local Section and the Historical Archive of the City of Carmignano.

The new section dedicated to multimedia documents is of particular importance. It currently includes more than 200 DVDs, multimedia encyclopaedias and dictionaries and foreign language courses interactive and self-managed.
