Documentation Center of the Nara of Prato

The Documentation Centre “La Nara” was set up in 1997 in the Antiviolence Listening Centre recently established, with the aim of creating a place for research and study on violence, but also with the purpose of collecting and storing all the specialized material that comply with women’s issues and that enhances them.

There were collected a lot of books and documentaries which will be enriched every year by new acquisitions: in addition to specialized texts (psychology, pedagogy, sociology) there are books of women’s study ranging from literary to legal, from the historical to philosophical. Numerous also the so-called gray material (proceedings of conferences, seminars) and publications on services for women.

Periodically will be made a review of the papers available in the archive of the Documentation Centre, where you can also find magazines and periodicals on women’s studies, both on paper and online. The work of the Documentation Centre also includes the organization of awareness-raising, information and training.
